Soil health is a connected system

Physical structure determines how air and water move, how roots explore the profile, and whether the soil can support active growth. Chemical conditions influence acidity, nutrient availability, salinity and the balance between elements. Biological activity helps drive decomposition, nutrient cycling and the formation of a functional soil environment.

These layers do not operate independently. A nutrient may be present in a laboratory result but remain difficult for the crop to access when rooting is restricted, water movement is poor or the soil reaction is unsuitable.

Why integrated interpretation matters

PRESICA’s SHE™ Intelligence framework connects Structure, Chemistry and Biology with field observations, crop response and management context. This prevents a single test result or surface symptom from becoming the whole diagnosis.

The decision implication

Before selecting an intervention, the evidence should identify which layer is limiting performance, how the layers interact, and what can realistically be corrected in the field. Better diagnosis creates a clearer sequence of action and a more meaningful basis for monitoring improvement.
